Wade Henry Howle

He was born September 15, 1952 in Darlington, S.C., the youngest son of the late Newton Ingram and Cora Lee Burnett Howle.

Wade grew up in Darlington, SC and graduated from St. John's High School in 1970.  He earned a B.A, in political science from Wofford College in 1974 where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Parish.  While his work as owner of Package Research Laboratory was his main endeavor, Wade was an entrepreneur and enjoyed creating new businesses.

He is survived by his beloved wife Rita Corbett of 41 years; their three children and spouses, Wade “Hampton” Howle and wife Kelly of Wilmington, NC; Victoria Howle Moore and husband David of Charleston, SC; and Emory Howle Baird and husband Will of Wilmington, NC; four grandchildren Hank, Avery, Wally and Lilly.  He is also survived by brothers Bill and Buddy, many nieces and nephews, and his Wofford Terrier Weesie.   

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the residence.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 24th at 10:00 a.m. at the Mt. Lebanon Chapel in Airlie Gardens with the Reverend Ronald Abrams officiating.  A reception will be held immediately following the service.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Wade’s memory can be made to St. James Church for the Lebanon Chapel Memorial Garden, 25 S. 3rd Street, Wilmington, NC 28401; to the Wofford Terrier Club 429 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29303; or to the American Diabetes Association.
