Warren Douglas ""Doug"" Perry died May 28, 2010 in Fayetteville, N.C. He was born May 12, 1924 in Bluefield, West Virginia son of the late Baxter Perry and Goldie Snead Perry and was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Elizabeth Dittman Perry. Mr. Perry was a veteran of the US Army having served in WWII and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a member of Pine Valley United Methodist Church, the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Surviving are his sons Joel Douglas Perry of Los Angeles, CA. and Brian D. Perry of Orrum, N.C. Other survivors include Polly Sheets, Cliff Sheets, and Susan Sheets Russo. A memorial service will be held 2pm Saturday June 5, 2010 at Pine Valley United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association 434 Fayetteville St. Mall #1600 Raleigh, N.C. 27601.
