Find peace and comfort knowing that our loving and dedicated husband and father took his last breath in the hands of our brave and courageous daughter Sophia and wife Denise.
We are in much peace knowing that Wendell‘s courageous battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer is no longer a struggle for him.
Although his life was cut short through our earthly eyes- We continue to trust in our awesome God that his timing is always perfect and in this imperfect world, God‘s plan is always perfect.
In the days before Wendell‘s passing Wendell was surrounded by his immediate family and friends.
Our loving daughter Sophia and loving son Canyon continuously paying tribute to their dad holding his hand allowing him permission that it’s OK daddy, you can go- you were the best dad any kid could have.
Their whispers were only meant for their father to hear but their tears told another story of years of laughter love and memories to hold close to their hearts forever.
As for me, God answered my prayers.
God blessed me with a man with a beautiful gentle spirit- Who loved with no conditions- Who continuously made us laugh with his child-like spirit - a man Who worked extremely hard whose honest loyal and faithful character was a role model for all of us to follow- and remember!
His greatest gift to all of us was his love which he reminded us of numerous times per day.
“ I love you sweetheart “ “ I love you “ “ I love you more “ “ not possible “ “ yes it is “
Those words will be etched in my heart and our children’s hearts forever.
Our lives will never be the same without Wendell, however, will forever be changed because of his love-God knew we needed him.
There will never be enough time or words to describe this incredible man but if you knew him then you understand.
Wendell my love you are the love of our lives.
We are the fortunate ones to have been blessed and we are eternally grateful to our God for creating his most perfect masterpiece - YOU!
Wendell - the kids and I will be ok - all because of you my love - our amazing faithful Lord and gentle loving Holy Spirit will continue to provide us with strength comfort and faith till we meet again in the loving arms of our King of Kings And loving Savior Jesus Christ!
“ For I have given rest to the weary and joy to the sorrowing “ Jeremiah 31:25
Follow my Will in all things. Be just as ready to experience suffering is to have joy, just as glad to be poor and needy as to be well off. If you prefer My Will in all these things, you will be preferring the perfect wisdom and the Highest Good.
It is impossible to express the depth of gratitude I have for all the people in our lives that have supported us on this journey our beautiful families and friends our sisters and brothers in Christ our prayer warriors so many we never knew to our doctors and nurses thank you will never be enough.
To my brother Russell, who has been there for me and my family through the entirety of Wendell’s battle. He provided the strength stability and constant love and compassion I needed. I will greatly miss our traditional road trips to Duke Hospital every eight weeks! Thank you for traveling on this journey with me and Wendell. I could not have done it without you and always remember the words that your brother-in-law Wendell repeatedly said to me “Russell is a good man, he’s a really good-good man”.
To all of Wendell's friends and workers from the Blanchard Electric years-He loved and cherished each one of you and so enjoyed all of his long hours working alongside each and every one of you.
To Vik, your mantra lives on you brought us peace thank you for that beautiful gift.
