William Taylor Beck

William Taylor Beck William Taylor Beck, 87, of Wilmington, NC died Sunday, August 21, 2011 at his home. He was born July 29, 1924 in Wilmington, NC the son of the late LeRoy Albert and Margaret Taylor Beck. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Hope Beck in 1961 and his brother, LeRoy Albert Beck, Jr. Mr. Beck was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He served his country honorably in the U S Navy during World War II and was retired from the U S Postal Service after 36 years of service. Surviving are two daughters, Marian H. Rouse of Wilmington, NC, and Mary B. Hayes and her husband Jesse of Raleigh, NC; two grandchildren, Terri East and her husband David, and Diana Freeman and her husband Ken; four great grandchildren, Danielle East, Margaret East, Caroline Freeman and Sarah Freeman; and a sister, Marion Beck Williamson of Wilmington, NC. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, August 24, 2011 in Greenlawn Memorial Park by Pastor Alan Benson and Pastor J D Herchenhahn.
