William Walter Eudailey, Jr. "Billy" passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 7, 2026. He was 70 years old. Billy was born on March 19, 1956, in Woodbridge, Va. He was the husband of the late Patricia Eudailey and the son of the late William and Barbara Eudailey. He is survived by his brother Brian Eudailey and wife Bryn-Carol, Blake Eudailey and wife Robin, his daughter Dara Newberry, son-in-law Joseph Newberry, and his grandson JC Newberry. Billy was blessed with nieces and nephews Kaitlyn, Jake, Will, Brian Keith and Meredith. He is also survived by aunts and uncles Garland and Patsy Kahn, Steve and Janet House and Marion Simpson, along with his late wife Patsy’s sister Helen and niece Jacque, and nephews Terrance and Sterling. Billy will also be missed and remembered by many wonderful cousins.
Billy started small job endeavors at the original Green Top sporting goods store where his passion for firearms began. His also worked at the Richmond Dragway as a car starter. One day at the Dragway, in true Billy style, he wound up talking to the owner of the Richmond Holiday Inn and told him that needed a job. He was hired and worked his way through all the levels of Hospitality and eventually managed multiple hotel locations in the Richmond area. He later acquired his Real Estate Broker’s license and worked alongside his parents, Patsy, and brother Blake becoming a prominent Broker serving clients all over Richmond area until he medically retired.
In his early morning hours of his real estate career, he spent many mornings at Starbucks coffee shop where he loved it so much he later worked part-time and of course got free coffee for the rest of his life!
Billy never knew a stranger. He cherished his childhood friends and always made new friends even in his last days. He enjoyed having his friends over for “Whiskey Wednesday” where they discussed politics, shared old stories and played poker. Billy enjoyed hunting, shooting skeet 25/25 and target shooting at the gun club. He was a collector of many things including sports and comic cards, guns, knives, and coins. He could often be found eating a good steak, following the stock market and, of course, talking to friends and family on his cell phone.
Billy lost his loving wife Patsy two years ago. He then moved from Richmond, VA to Wilmington, NC to be close to his daughter, son-in law and grandson. For the past two years they have enjoyed spending time together, making memories as well as consistently supporting Billy through his medical needs. Many of Billy’s family and friends visited him in North Carolina. Despite being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 45 Billy never complained about his physical or mental deficiencies. He would have good days and bad days. His joyful soul and happy love for life helped him overcome many medical adversities and even in his last days he was smiling.
A Memorial Service will be held October 16, 2026, from 11am to 1pm at Three Chopt Presbyterian Church in Richmond, reception to follow.
