
William ""Will"" Kinzy Hobbs, III of Wilmington, NC died Wednesday, March 26, 2008. He was born September 5, 1976 in Wilmington, the son of Bill and Maxine Brantham Hobbs, Jr. of Wilmington, NC. Will achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in 1994. He graduated New Hanover High School, Class of 1996, and attended Caldwell and Brunswick Community Colleges. Will was a lifelong member of Temple Baptist Church and served as the warehouse manager and sales associate for the family business, W. K. Hobbs, Inc. He enjoyed snow boarding, mountain biking, fishing, and loved the great outdoors, especially when accompanied by his canine companion T. D. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Kinzy Hobbs Tippett and husband Jeff; his niece, Grace Tippett; maternal grandmother, Christine Brantham Hobbs, aunts, Janet Dorman Mike Norris and Pam Brantham; uncles, Tom Brantham Mary Rose and Steve Hobbs Kayren; cousins, Joel Brantham, Dabney Brantham, Claire Johnson, Lewis Hobbs, Elise Hobbs, and Emily Hobbs. Will was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, W. K. Hobbs, Sr., maternal grandmother, Aldine Lewis Hobbs, maternal grandfather, Tom Brantham, and two uncles, Don Brantham and Dr. Bruce Dorman. A time for visitation will be from 2 PM until 3 PM Saturday at Temple Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Temple Baptist Church by Rev. E. C. Mattocks and Dr. James D. Whetstone, preceded by a graveside service at 11 AM Saturday at Oleander Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church, 1801 Market Street, Wilmington, NC 28401.
