William Robert Lassiter, Sr., 69, of Wilmington, NC, died Friday, May 23, 2014 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on August 24, 1944 in Johnston County, NC the son of the late James Garland and Eva Mae Langdon Lassiter. William is survived by his three children, Sandra Crocker, William Robert Lassiter, Jr. and Dennis Wayne Lassiter and his mother, Linda Jones; nine grandchildren; and his brothers and sisters, Willis Lassiter, Linda Lassiter, Judy Braswell, Merle Parrish, Jean Barnes and LaRue Rogers. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel.
