William Brady Leagan, 63, of Wilmington, NC, passed away, Thursday, June 29, 2017. William was born September 15, 1953 in London, England to Harry Shelton Leagan and Ingeborg Elizabeth Kolster Leagan. He graduated from Stanley High School in 1971 and entered the United States Air Force in 1978. On September 11, 1978 he married Donna Maria Chiovaro, of Setauket, NY, at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, TX. William was employed as an Air Freight Manager at JFK Airport in New York, and in his later years, a Manager at West Marine in North Carolina.
He is survived by his wife Donna Leagan of Wilmington, NC, daughter, Andrea Myers and her husband, David Myers of Mountain Top, PA, his daughter Ashley Johnson and her husband, Matthew Johnson of Wilmington, NC, his son, Derek Leagan and his fiance, Somer Saunders of Wilmington NC; 3 grandchildren, Daevin Myers, Jace Johnson and Colton Leagan; his sisters, Elizabeth and Bonnie Leagan and his brother, Richard Leagan. A celebration of life service will be announced at a future date.
