William Albert Vaughn

William "Pop" Vaughn 83, of Castle Hayne NC, passed away on February 16, 2015. He was born on December 8, 1931 to Herbert and Marie Vaughn, in Carbondale Illinois. His parents and two brothers preceded him in death. A Korean War Veteran, Bill was proud to serve his country. He married Grace Elizabeth Cottle and in 1956 they made their life together in Castle Hayne NC for the next 59 years. Bill and Libby raised their two sons Billy Vaughn and Ray Brown in a home filled with love. Survivors include son Billy (Judy), and son Ray; granddughters Amber Vaughn and Amanda Brinson and grandson Billy Dean Vaughn II; two great grandchildren Gracie and Grant Brinson. He also had two best friends Linda and Johnny Moore. The family would like to thatnk all of their friends for their continuous support and prayers. Relatives and friends are invited to visitation Wednesday February 18th, 2015 from 5-7pm at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service 3915 Oleander Dr. Wilmington. Funeral Service Thursday at 3pm in the Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Chapel. Interment with military honors will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Wilmington.
