Willis "Earl" Dunn of Atkinson and formerly of Wilmington died Monday January 6, 2014 at home. He was born July 17, 1934 in Bladen County NC son of the late Theron Dunn and Viva Johnson Dunn and was preceded in death by his wife Glenda Dunn. Earl was active in American Legion Post 10 and Wilmington Optomist Club Baseball. Retired manager from AT&T and was veteran of the US Army. Surviving are his children Shannon Blackmon and husband Keith of Wilmington, Wendy Diaz of Atkinson and Brad Dunn and wife Misty of Wilmington; grandchildren, Megan, Marty, Katelyn, Tripp, Theron and Riley; brother, Jerry Dunn and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 3pm Wednesday January 8, 2014 at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lower Cape fear Hospice 1414 Physicians Dr Wilmington NC 28401.
