Wilma Cox Briggs

Wilma Cox Briggs, 92 went home to Jesus February 22, 2011 at The Lower Cape Fear Hospice Facility. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Richard W. Briggs and sisters Florence Bible, May Williams and brother Fred Cox. She is survived by sister Thelma Eberwein and brother James H. Cox., Son Richard W. Briggs & wife Beverly of Boca Raton, Fla., Daughter Donna Briggs Teed & husband Rev. Dick Teed of Wilmington. Grand Children Dawn White, Brenna Tomlinson, Dana Costadoni, Cynthia Dewar, Major Timothy Teed, USMCR, and 9 Great Grand Children. Wilma was a member First Christian Church, Past President of the Jaycee Auxiliary in Miami, Fl, Board of Directors of Florence Crittenton Home for Unwed Mothers, President of the Highlands-Cashiers Garden Club, and Secretary /Treasurer of R.W. Briggs and Son Food Brokers. A Celebration Memorial Service will be held at First Christian Church, Wilmington on Saturday, February 26 at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends following the service.
