Winifred O'Connor Williams

Winifred O?Connor Williams Winifred O?Connor Williams, of Carolina Beach, died September 18, 2011 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter. She was born in Liverpool, England on June 8, 1935, the daughter of the late Percy and Winifred O?Connor. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.R. Williams, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Amy Williams of Carolina Beach and daughter, Rebecca Williams Wilkins, her husband, Colonel Clifford Wilkins, and their son, Connor Wilkins, all of Raleigh. She is also survived by her sisters, Moira Dolman Harry, Sheila Hamilton Peter, Colette Matthews Peter, and her brothers, Frank O?Connor Marie and Tony O?Connor Elsie, all of England. In addition, Win is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a devoted member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a long time volunteer at St. Mary Catholic School. Win was a loving grandmother, mother and friend. The family wishes to thank all the caring doctors and nurses who took care of Win throughout her nine year fight with breast cancer, especially those at the Hospice Life Care Center. A funeral mass will be held at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, September 21, 2011, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
