Angelia M Baker

Angelia ‘Angie’ Martin Baker, age 67, of Wilson, North Carolina, went home to her Lord and Savior peacefully surrounded by her cherished family and dear friends on August 14, 2026. She was born in Fort Riley, Kansas to Roland and Barbara Martin. Angie was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, Nana, and friend. Her love for her family was boundless, and everyone who spent time with her felt her warmth and kindness. Angie’s gentle presence brought comfort to those around her, and she always made sure her loved ones knew just how much they meant to her.

She found her greatest joy in having her family all together, surrounded by the happy sounds of laughter and conversation. Nothing else mattered to Angie when she was with her loved ones; she cherished every moment, every smile, and every memory made together. Angie was a quiet soul with a mighty strength. She was kind, graceful, and unwavering in her determination. Her gentle spirit touched everyone she met.

Angie was well known in the real estate industry for her dedication, commitment, and strong leadership, helping to move the industry forward. She served with humility and excellence in many leadership roles, including Regional Hive MLS President, Wilson Board of REALTORS President, WBOR Director, MLS Director, and REALTOR of the Year. These are just a few of the remarkable parts of the legacy she leaves behind.

She also had a deep love for painting, which brought color and joy into her life and the lives of those around her. Angie often found peace in creating beautiful works of art, and she loved sharing her passion with family and friends. Her paintings were a reflection of her heart—vibrant, tender, and full of love.

Angie is preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Barbara Martin, and her sister Erika Billera. She is survived by her husband, Bruce; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Michelle; her three grandchildren, Cruz, Lylah, and Hana; her three siblings, Marcia Billera, Michelle Hahn, and Rodney Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews. Angie will be sorely missed, but her love and light will live on in all those who knew her. “We love you, sug”.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 11AM at Evergreen Memorial Park in Wilson, NC.
