A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 2:00pm at Evergreen Memorial Park, 2704 Nash St. N, Wilson, NC. Family will accept visitors immediately following at the graveside.
Mrs. Cloyd was a teacher's assistant for Wilson County Schools at Elvie Street School and Vincent Bynum School. She graduated from Broughton High School and Peace College in Raleigh, NC.
Mrs. Cloyd was married to Edward L Cloyd Jr. who was a professor and coach at Atlantic Christian College. Together they ran a summer tennis camp for Atlantic Christian for 25 years during Mr. Cloyd's 40 year career with the college. Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd were one of the founding families of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Wilson, NC.
She is survived by her three children; Edward L. Cloyd III, Patrica Cloyd and Paisley Cloyd.
