Casey you were a ray of light and had a wonderful personality. You always had a smile on your face despite your surroundings. I am very grateful to have gotten to know you and work with you. I still have a hard time believing you are not with us here on earth anymore. I am grateful to know that you are flying high and that you are no longer suffering. I will see you again one day! Love you!!!

I am still in shock after hearing the news that Casey had passed away. She had the kindest, most genuine spirit of anyone I ever knew. Always positive and uplifting despite her own struggles. She graduated a year after me from PCC Respiratory Therapy program. It was an honor to know her and to work with her. They say the good die young, and her passing has proven that statement true. RIP dear Casey.

I knew Casey for going on our 30th year. She was my very first best friend. I have so many memories of growing up with Casey that I deeply cherish & will hold very close to my heart so that she will always be with me. Camp, dance, Girl Scouts, daycare, hours of phone calls, staying up late at so many sleepovers & slumber parties. Casey was such a compassionate & warm soul that lit up the lives of everyone around her. Her happiness, positive outlook on life, & beautiful smile were infectious—it is what I admired the most about her. She was so incredibly special to me & to so many others. I’m so sorry I was never able to tell you goodbye. I will love you & miss you forever & ever. Rest easy sweetheart. All of my love & sincerest condolences to the King family.

Casey was an angel walking amongst us. I was only around her for a couple of years during my time at VMC, but I will always remember her beautiful smile and personality. She was a beautiful soul indeed, and I’m praying that God gives her family and friends strength during this difficult time.

Casey is a once in a lifetime find! Most definitely a rare beautiful seashell that you will only stumble upon once in your life! She showed all of her Vidant family what a friend and Co-worker should look like, she showed us how to love and how to live life to the fullest. Her smile and laughter was so contagious. She always left you smiling no matter what mood you were in. She could always light up a room and she touched everyone she ever met. Her foot prints are forever on our hearts!! Thank you Casey for being such an inspiration!!! We love you!! #foreverteamcasey

Casey, will always hold a special place in my heart! I will always remember her go to it attitude , and personal care of our patients in Respiratory Care at VMC. She always went the extra mile and was focused on the patient and family at all times. Her smile and laugh was contagious and always lifted me up. I will miss her and I will do whatever I can for her family as they communicate needs. God bless you all!
