Lucama: Donald Lee Howard, age 74, passed away Monday, October 24, 2022 at Wilson Medical Center. He was the son of the late William and Ila Howard and was also preceded in death by a sister Carolyn Pittman, brothers, Billy Ray Howard, Bobby Howard and Raymond Howard.
Donald was a hardworking, God fearing, family man. He loved his wife, sons and grandchildren dearly. He was a devoted, dedicated member of The Church of God at Lucama. He enjoyed singing gospel songs and playing the bass guitar. Donald will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 52 years Nancy Lamm Howard of Lucama, his sons, Jason Howard of Lucama and Jeremy Howard of Wilson, two grandchildren Jaxon and Sommer Howard of Goldsboro, sisters-in-law, Doris Howard of Wilson, Tricia Howard of Wilson and Estelle Howard of Fremont and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday at 3 PM in the chapel of Thomas-Yelverton at Evergreen, 2704 Nash St. N. Wilson with Rev. Vernon Morris, Rev. Kevin Adkins and Rev. Mark Lamm officiating. Interment will follow the service in Maplewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:30 to 2:45 PM prior to the service at Thomas-Yelverton at Evergreen.
