Elvie Grey Rouse, 75, of Wilson died Wednesday. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, with Rev. David Varnell officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., at the funeral home located at 2704 Nash St. N, Wilson, NC.
Elvie was a longtime employee with Wilson County Schools. She possessed a very outgoing personality and never met a stranger. Elvie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Surviving are her son, Troy D. Rouse (Sandra L.) of Wilson; her daughter, Heidi R. Aber (Daniel) of Raleigh; five grandchildren, Jacob Rouse, Gracie Rouse, Maggie Rouse, Mila Aber, and Winnie Aber; one brother, Willard Walston Jr. (Peggy) of Moncks Corner, SC; one sister, Patsy Bass (Don) of Wilson; and her devoted caregiver, Angie Daniel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Dewey Rouse; parents, Willard B. and Elvie Lucille Minshew Walston; and one brother, Ronnie Walston.
