

For over 61 years, Esther shared a deep, loving bond with her husband, Billy. She was a loving mother to daughter, Amy, and son-in-law, John, and a devoted grandmother to Stella, who brought her immeasurable joy.
Esther was a steadfast member of Healthy Plains Primitive Baptist Church. Her faith shaped the kindness, humility, and compassion she extended to others.
For 30 years, Esther worked at Narron & Holdford, PA, where she was highly respected and admired by all who interacted with her.
Esther will be remembered for her kindness, quiet strength, and the grace with which she cared for her loved ones, all grounded in her abiding faith in Jesus.
Surviving are husband, Billy Bissette of Elm City; daughter, Amy Beausang (John) of Wilmington, NC; granddaughter, Stella Beausang; brother, Carroll Coleman (Peggy) of Kenly; sisters-in-law Helen Bissette, Jean Bissette, Aster Rae Coleman, and Connie Lyon; and many nieces and nephews.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents, Grover Cleveland and Bruce Bunn Coleman; four sisters: Fannie Mae Marlowe, Dixie Page, Pearl Lamm, and Vanice Mercer; and five brothers: Bennie, Cleveland, William, Garland, and Durand Coleman.
The family expresses deep gratitude to Hospice of Wilson, especially nurse Brittney and social worker Kelly, and to the caregivers—Mary, Linda, Cynthia, Shan, Jasmine, and Crystal—who lovingly tended to Mom until her passing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Esther’s honor may be made to Hospice of Wilson or St Jude.
Family visitation will be at Thomas Yelverton Funeral Home of Wilson, NC, on Thursday, March 19 at 1pm, followed by memorial service at 2pm. Burial will be private.
