Ida Buscemi

Ida Ammirati Buscemi, age 101 peacefully passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her dear husband of 58 years, Michael Buscemi, Sr. She lovingly is survived by her son, Michael Buscemi, Jr. and wife Nancy of Wilson; daughters, Marguerite Troupe and husband Joe of Jacksonville, Fl., Marlene Cassidy and husband Glenn of Wilson whom were her devoted caregivers the past 18 years. In addition she is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael Buscemi III and wife Christie, Lori White, Tiffany Heffington and husband Steve, Brandon Cassidy and wife Marie, along with nine great grandchildren. She will long be remembered for her amazing stories, quick wit and endless love for her family. She touched many hearts and we were blessed to have her in our lives for so many years. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at 2000 Knightdale Dr. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting to make a donation to a charity of your choice.
