

She was born in Wilbanks in Wilson County on July 30, 1942, to the late Jasper Fred and Bertha Williams Webb.
Jackie worked for 20 years in the office at Wilson Home Improvement Company and another 20 years as a Medical Records Assistant at Wilson-Greene Mental Health Center. After her retirement from Wilson-Greene MHC in 2002, she worked tirelessly to help take care of elderly family members. She was a giving soul, and she cherished her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley H. Godwin, whom she dearly missed since his passing in 2010.
Jackie is survived by her daughter, Karen Godwin MacDonald and husband, Steve, of Durham; her son, David Stanley Godwin and wife, Stephanie, of Thomasville; one granddaughter, Leland MacDonald; two grandsons, Kyle Godwin and Jake Godwin; one brother, Jasper Dwight Webb and wife, Betty, of Wilson; one sister, Suzanne Webb McAllister and husband, Michael, of Wilson; two aunts; one great aunt; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Hooper of Wilson for his attentive care and also the staff of Providing Loving Care, Seasons at Southpoint in Durham, and AuthoraCare Hospice for their special care during the last two years.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Maplewood Cemetery in Wilson, NC and will be officiated by Pastor Rudy Owens. Funeral services are under the direction of Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, 2704 Nash St, N, Wilson, NC 27896.
