Jean Keyes Ryburn

Jean Keyes Ryburn passed away on July 13, 2019. Born September 25, 1921 in Phenix, Virginia, she grew up in South Charleston, West Virginia. Miss Ryburn graduated from Flora McDonald College in Red Springs, North Carolina, The Presbyterian School for Christian Education in Richmond, Virginia and The Academia di Belle-Arti in Florence, Italy. She was an Educational Missionary in Cairo, Egypt and Nagoya, Japan from 1948-1956. She moved to Wilson, North Carolina in 1970 to live with her parents.
Miss Ryburn is predeceased by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Frank M. Ryburn, Sr. and her sister Emily Ryburn Sloter of Florida. She is survived by her brothers Dr. Frank M. Ryburn, Jr. of Lubbock, Texas and Dr. Samuel B. Ryburn Sr. of Wilson, North Carolina and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Miss Ryburn will be conducted Monday, July 29, 2019 at 2pm at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Wilson, N.C. The family will receive visitors following the service from 3:30-5:30pm at the home of Dr. Samuel Ryburn Sr. at 1103 Lakeside Drive, Wilson, N.C.
