Jerry Venson Hopkins March 1, 1925 - November 18, 2016 Jerry Venson Hopkins, 91, of Middlesex passed away Friday. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2016, at Evergreen Memorial Park, 2800 Nash St., Wilson, with the Rev. David Dupree officiating. The family will receive friends at the gravesite immediately following the service. Surviving are two sons, Elvin Wayne Hopkins and wife, Carol of Middlesex and Jerry Trent Hopkins of Westpoint, TN; three grandchildren, Jason Hopkins, Derek Hopkins, and Vickie L. Gardner; two great-grandchildren, Hayden A. Hopkins and Gracie E. Hopkins; and a brother, Tommie Hopkins of Middlesex. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Hopkins; parents, Wade and Maude Strickland Hopkins; and two brothers, Leroy Hopkins and Bruce Hopkins.
