Jenny, I was sorry to read of the loss of Jerry in the morning paper. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. You may remember when I came by your house in Sumter and recruited Jerry for membership in our local Purple Heart Chapter and later convinced him to become Commander of our group. He served as Commander in 2012 for a few months before you relocated to NC. He did a great job for us and we have missed him over the past years, but have not forgotten him. Jerry and I go back to our school days in Sumter. We also had a common bond with our service in Vietnam where both of us received the Purple Heart for our wounds. He was indeed a True Marine!! He will be missed.

If I, or the Purple Heart members here in Sumter can ever be of assistance to you, please contact us.
