OBITUARY
Kathy Schnell
December 16, 1957 – June 14, 2017
Kathy-Jo Pridgen Schnell, age 59, of Wilson, NC, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017. She was born in Wilson, the daughter of Alvis T. Pridgen and the late Katie Pearl Pridgen. She was predeceased by her brother, Tommy Pridgen. She is survived by her husband, Timothy Schnell and his 3 children and 7 grandchildren, and her son Taylor Umphlett: her sister Pamela Fragoso and her 4 nieces. Kathy took over Rex Shoe Repair Shop when her father retired and continued to run the business for 25 years with her husband. She loved her dogs, especially Dixie, and a good cooking show. Her favorite thing to do was to relax at her home with loved ones and re-tell stories about her son’s childhood and her own. Kathy was a kind woman with a special sense of humor; she wanted everyone to laugh, no matter at whose expense. She is beloved by all those who knew her. Visitation will be Friday, June 16, 2017 from 3:00 to 4:00 PM with her memorial service following at 4:00 PM at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home 2704 Nash St. Wilson. Family and friends are welcome other times at their home, 7259D Hwy 42 East, Macclesfield, NC. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, Wilson, NC. Online condolences may be sent to www.thomasyelverton.com.
