Margie Gifford Pittman October 31, 1936 - August 22, 2016 Margie Gifford Pittman, 79, of Wilson, passed away Monday. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday at Daniels Chapel FWB Church, 4828 Frank Price Church Rd., Wilson. The Rev. Walt Tyndall, the Rev. Bill Groce and the Rev. David Charles Hansley will officiate. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The family will receive friends 6:30 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, 2704 Nash St. N, Wilson, and other times at 4152 Frank Price Church Rd., Wilson. Margie was a homemaker who loved flowers, working in her yard, and cooking for her family. She was married for 58 years to Donnie Hugh Pittman who preceded her in death in 2014. She was a longtime member of Daniels Chapel FWB Church. Margie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Surviving are her sons, Donnie Hugh Pittman Jr., Mark Anthony Pittman and William Kirk Pittman, and wife, Wendy, all of Wilson; three grandchildren, Katie Pittman and fiance, Adam, Garrett Pittman and Brock Pittman, all of Wilson; one brother, Rudolph Gifford, and wife, Nannie Belle, of Wilson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Hugh Pittman; parents, John William and Daisy Bass Gifford; a brother, "JW" Gifford Jr.; and a grandson, Stephen Anthony Pittman. Flowers are welcome and memorials may be directed to Daniels Chapel FWB Church, 4828 Frank Price Church Rd,, Wilson, NC 27893.
