Wilson: Marie Armstrong Sallee, 78, passed away Friday, February 9, 2024 at her home. She was a daughter of the late Forrest Armstrong and Beulah Sexton Armstrong and was also predeceased by her husband Donnie Sallee, a sister Marshall Bullock and a granddaughter Beth Sallee.
Marie was a member of Sandy Cross Methodist Church. She enjoyed her time at Lake Gaston and making special memories there. She loved gardening, walking through the woods and was an avid reader.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Steve Sallee and wife Teresa and Mark Sallee and his wife Mary Carpenter all of Elm City, two sisters, Phyllis Griffin and Pam Dixon both of Tarboro, her granddaughter Baillee Sallee and husband of Wilson and her great grandson Ben Holden.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 11 AM in the chapel of Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends following the service.
