Ms. Henderson was my guidance counselor in high school and was the only person in my life who urged me to go to college. No one in my family had ever attended college so I applied. Couldn't be more grateful to her for that advice. I also ran into her several years ago in CH and she immediately knew me by my name. I was touched. Sending condolences to her family and loved ones.

I worked with Pam at Colonial Heights Junior High School, in the 80's. Our children were of similar ages and I enjoyed hearing of all the things she did with her girls. One memory that particularly stands out was when she took Jana and Jennifer to New York to watch some of the U.S. Open Tennis Tournament. I was so in awe that she would attempt that as a single mom of two young teen age girls. For me that epitomizes her love of travel, self confidence, and adventurous spirit.
