She is survived by her son Thil Deaton Hurley and wife Teresa of New Bern, her brother Jerry Lanier Godwin and wife Helen of Bel Air, Md, sister-in-laws Jean High Godwin of Leesburg, Va, Carol Godwin of Mt Pleasant, SC, Margaret Rich Godwin of Greensboro, NC, and 10 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Thomas Sidney Godwin of Goldsboro NC, Ira David Godwin of Fairfax, Va., and Randolph Ray Godwin of Mt Pleasant, SC.

Patricia will be laid to rest in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 2704 Nash St N, Wilson, NC 27896 on Friday, June 19, 2026 at 11:00 am.
