Rachel Matthews Lamm February 27, 1925 – March 31, 2016 Rachel Matthews Lamm, 91, of Wilson, passed away Thursday. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2016, in Evergreen Memorial Park with Rev. Charles Robl officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside and other times will be at the home of her daughter, Myra Cunningham. Surviving are her daughter, Myra Cunningham and husband, Ray, of Wilson; one granddaughter, Lorri W. Taylor of Wilson; two great-grandchildren, Ashley Wells and Matthew Wells; four step-grandchildren, Jeff Cunningham, Barry Cunningham, Megan Cunningham, and Addison Cunningham, all of Wilson; and one sister, Lucy M. Flowers and husband, Raeford, of Wilson. Rachel was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Lamm; parents, James Edwin and Alice Thomas Matthews; a sister, Helen M. Simpson; and a brother, Hilton “Buddy” Matthews. Flowers are welcome and memorials in Rachel’s memory may be directed to the First United Methodist Church Endowment Fund, 100 W.
