

Molean Taylor Pender, 87, of Wilson, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 31, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Thad Pender. She was born in Greene County, July 9, 1927, the daughter of the late Willie James and Sadie Beamon Taylor and had lived here her entire life. She was a graduate of the Hardbargers Business College and had been employed as Human Resource Manager for Donnelly Marketing for many years and had cultivated many lasting friendships during her time there. She was an active member of the Winstead United Methodist Church who loved her church family. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Pender Manning of Wilson, her son, Kenneth Thad Pender Jr. and his wife Candi of Lincolnton, NC; her grandchildren, April Bauer and her husband Doug of Raleigh, Amanda Webb of Wilson, and Brian Pender of Thomasville; her great-grandchildren, Hannah Brooke Jones and Emma Leigh Jones, both of Wilson, and Addison Taylor Bauer of Raleigh; her brothers, Bobby Taylor and his wife Carolyn of Hookerton, and Billy Howell and his wife Judy of Laurel Springs, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several sisters and brothers. The family will receive relatives and friends at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, 2704 Nash St, in Wilson Friday, January 02, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.
