Sharon was a member of Eagles Nest Church of God in Elm City and served 22 years as treasurer. She loved her family, spending time with them and was a great conversationalist.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 48 years Damon Bateman, her daughter Patricia Bateman and fiancée Jay Harrison, her brother Joel Mayo and his wife Vicky of Elm City, her sisters, Tammy Braswell and her husband Greg of Wilson and Rhonda Hall and her husband Britt of Grantville, GA, half- sisters, Amy Cuddington and Priscilla Eldridge and half -brother Benjamin Cuddington and her fur grandchild Pumpkin Spice.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 22, 2025 at 2 PM in the chapel of Thomas – Yelverton Funeral Home with burial to follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 PM to 2 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
