Tracy M. Howell, 51, of Everett, WA, formerly of Wilson, passed away July 26, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2018, at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, 2704 Nash St. N, Wilson, NC, with interment to follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Saturday, from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m., at the funeral home.
Tracy attended Wayne Community College, receiving a degree in Electronic Engineering. He followed the family profession in his career as a communication systems alarm technician. Tracy traveled the West in his recreational vehicle, “MarVee” from 1998 – 2018, his Peter Pan peanut butter in one hand and Wonder Bread (white) in the other. He devoted his life to helping elderly family members and volunteering with the homeless community in Snohomish County, WA. Tracy will be remembered for his love of mountain biking, skate boarding, and photography, and he followed the family love of music, both arranging and composing. His kindness touched everyone who was fortunate to have known him.
Surviving are his sister, Marsha Shannon (Jerry) of TN; one brother, Charles Howell (Toni) of VA; six nieces and nephews, Natalie Lassiter (Jason), James Shannon (Monica), Jerry Shannon Jr., Josiah Shannon, Naomi Shannon, all of TN, and Tanya Delaney (Brian) of MD; five great-nieces and nephews, Brody, Willow, Annabel, Ely, and Ella.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Ray and Sarah Lou Pittman Howell, both of Wilson, NC.
Tracy was known for his quirky sense of humor. In lieu of flowers, please bring a sticker to place on his casket.
