Wiley Carlos Gardner

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Dale Gardner, his son Adam Gardner and daughter-in-law Jonna Gardner of Wilson, North Carolina, and his daughter Alicia Gardner Thompson and son-in-law Chris Thompson of Elm City, North Carolina. He is also survived by his sister Cheryl Gardner of Oak Island, North Carolina, his grandson Michael Gardner of Lynchburg, Virginia, and his granddaughter Ashley Gardner Ross and grandson-in-law Cody Ross of Stokes, North Carolina. Wiley was predeceased by his granddaughter Jennifer Lynn Gardner, his sister Sheila Seabright, his father Wiley T. Gardner, and his mother Marilyn Litten Gardner. His best friends include Albert Deans, Charles Atkins, and Pam Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Thomas - Yelverton Funeral Home, located at 2704 Nash St. N., Wilson, North Carolina, 27896, on January 13, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A graveside service will take place at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Elm City, North Carolina, on January 14, 2026, at 10:00 am. Wiley Carlos Gardner's final resting place will be Cedar Grove Cemetery in Elm City.
