Allan Wayne Goss peacefully passed away on Tuesday, December 8th with dignity surrounded by his family. His final act was one of immense bravery. If there is one word to describe Allan it would simply be the word Sweet. He loved his wife, his children, his grandchildren and all his family and friends so much. He spent 33 beautiful years with his wife Dayle and they were best friends. He was the proudest father and grandfather. There was not a single thing Allan would not do for those he loved. He loved playing golf, grilling for his family, and watching football. He loved his Atlanta Falcons team and was truly their #1 fan. He took pride in a well manicured lawn and a clean truck to drive. Allan enjoyed playing drums and strumming his guitars. He was a jolly man that gave so much grace and compassion to anyone. More than anything, Allan just loved to love and spread that love to his family. No conversation ever ended without a hug and an “I love you.” May he be remembered as a great man with a heart so big and so loving. He was a true Patriarch that will be missed beyond words by so many. He has been reunited with his son and is now resting peacefully.
Allan leaves behind his wife Dayle Goss, son Casey Goss (Kelly), daughter Ashley Mizer (Michael), son John Parks (Tonya), son Jason Parks (Meliha) and 11 grandchildren, Jason, Caitlin, Maggie, Parker, Katie, Sophia, Ava, Mady, Aidan, Catherine and Harrison and 2 great grandchildren, Harley and Greyson.
Allan is preceded in death by his mother, Lena Louise Willams, father Thurmon Goss, brothers Nelton and Freddy Goss and his beloved son, Jason Lee Goss.
A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate the life of Mr. Allan Goss will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2020 in the Chapel of Smith Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Smith Funeral Home.
