Alton Junior Williams, age 78, died July 19, 2016. A native of Jackson County Mr. Williams was the son of the late Allen and Lauren Gregory Williams. Mr. Williams was retired from Gwinnett County Water Treatment Plant and was Owner/Operator of Walters Tavern for 22yrs. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth Williams.
Funeral services will be held Friday July 22, 2016 at Smith Memory Chapel at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-8pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife Maureen Byrne Williams; son; James (Leslie) Williams; daughter; Kathy Pollard; grandchildren; Westley (Kimberley) Pollard, Jason (Katie) Pollard, Dustin Pollard (Kisandra Raulin; great grandchildren; Chloie, Caleb, and Miles Pollard.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, has charge of arrangements.
