Ann Baxter, age 66, of Commerce, GA, passed on July 14, 2026. Ann was a member of Eastern Star. She loved cooking, going fishing, and being at the beach. She had been a dietician for Madison County Schools.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Lee Baxter. She was also predeceased by her father, Henry Milton; son, Edward Baxter; and brothers, Van Milton and James Milton. Ann is survived by her mother, Barbara (Roy) Strickland of Commerce; daughter, Angela (Chuck) Owens of Commerce; and two grandchildren: Serenity Cowart of Athens, and Sydney Cowart of Hull.
There will be a Visitation for family and friends at Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, GA, on Friday, July 24, 2026 from noon until 2:00 pm. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 pm in Smith Memory Chapel. She will be inurned at Grey Hill Cemetery in Commerce, GA.
