Born on March 22, 1981, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Annie was known for her intelligence, creativity, and compassion. She attended Greater Atlanta Christian School and graduated from Myrtle Beach High School in 1999. Her fondest memories were made at Camp Nakanawa, where she was a proud member of Tent Row in 1998, forming a treasure trove of lifelong friendships.
From a young age, Annie’s extraordinary photographic memory and passion for learning distinguished her. As an eighth-grade honors student, she earned a prestigious trip to Washington, D.C., including a visit to the White House. Her enduring fascination with anthropology, ancient civilizations, and particularly Egypt led her to pursue studies at both Clemson University and the University of Tennessee.
Annie’s vibrant spirit shone through her love of crafts, colorful hair, grunge music, and her sharp, sarcastic humor, often quoting South Park and Family Guy.
Annie also got started in her grandmother’s business, Primerica. She not only got her life insurance license, she was a leader and role model to her teammates.
Her most treasured role was being a devoted mother to her brilliant son, Carter, who was her entire world. In her final act of generosity, Annie donated her organs, profoundly impacting the lives of 60 individuals.
She is survived by her son, Carter Roth; partner, Timothy Roth; sisters, Virginia Morgan and Sarah Welch; Sarah’s husband, Matthew Welch; half-brothers, Joseph Consola and Michael Stokes; and uncles, Robert Milner Carter, John Zoranovich, and Donald Consola. She joins her grandmothers, Virginia Milner Carter and Lucile Bordenca Consola; her mother, Ida Richards “Rickie” Carter; her father, Joseph Nelson Consola Jr.; her uncle Alverson Carter, Jr.; aunt, Virginia Seixas Carter; and her brother-in-law, Shannon David Morgan.
Annie will be remembered for her brilliant mind, creativity, quick wit, and the boundless love she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Her burial will take place at the family cemetery at Green Pastures Farm in Hoschton, Georgia at 10 am on August 8, prior to the memorial. (For GPS directions to the cemetery, use the address: 664 Covered Bridge Road, Hoschton, GA 30548).
A memorial to honor Annie’s life is planned for noon on August 8th at Flourish Taproom, 9924 Davis Street Suite 1, Braselton, Georgia 30517. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Epilepsy Foundation in Annie’s memory.
