Anne Louise Weston Ward

Anne Louise Weston Ward, age 89, of Winder, GA passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. She was born in Mattoon, IL to the late Inice Snapp Weston and William B. Weston. He father was a minor league baseball player with the St. Louis Cardinals and that instilled in her a love of baseball and sports in general. She played fast-pitch ball in Mattoon as a young woman. She was widowed at age 27 when her husband was killed in an accident at work. Anne Louise had a Graduate Degree in Child Psychology from Florida State University. She was retired from the Early County School System where she was a Guidance Counselor. She attended the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church while living in Blakely, GA. Anne Louise enjoyed traveling, reading, crocheting, and watching sports, especially baseball, and she a special place in her heart for cats.

In addition to her parents, Anne Louise was predeceased by her husband, Carroll Theodore Ward; and her brothers, William Weston and James Weston. She is survived by her son, Carroll Theodore "Ted" (Susan) Ward of Ball Ground, GA; her three grandchildren: Robert (Mikki) Rainney of San Diego, CA, Theresa (Lupe Sandoval) Iles of Talking Rock, GA, and Amanda Jo Rainney of Salome, AZ; and two sisters-in-law: Anne Weston of Oak Park, CA and Norma Weston of Abilene, TX.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Prospect United Methodist Church, 1549 Prospect Rd, Lawrenceville, GA 30043.
