Barbara Ann Eckhardt

Barbara Ann Eckhardt, age 72 of Pendergrass, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022. Barbara was born on August 1, 1950 in Duluth, GA to the late William “Bill” Jones and Joyce Baldwin. She graduated from Forsyth County High School and worked as a customer sales manager for Scientific Atlanta. Barbara was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed the Casino and Yahtzee with her sister, Nancy.

Along with her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her brother, Dan Jones and her sister, Nancy O’Tinger. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, David Eckhardt of Pendergrass; a son, Tommy Garrett of Pendergrass; a daughter, Teresa Garrett of Commerce; two brothers, David Jones of Cumming and Doug Jones of Pendergrass; a sister, Peggy Akins of Cumming; three grandchildren, Sierra Bolton, Thomas Garrett, and Jeffery Wood; and five great grandchildren: Bridgett Greeson, Taylor Greeson, Kiley Bolton, Tiffany Garrett, and Miranda Garrett.

The family of Barbara will be accepting family and friends for a Celebration of Life from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Smith Funeral Home in Winder, GA.
