
Barry Scott Collier, known to many as "Scott," peacefully passed away on March 5, 2025, in Winder, Georgia, at the age of 75. He was born on April 3, 1949, in Kosciusko, Mississippi, to Luther and Leola Collier, joining his late father, mother, and brother Michael in eternal rest.
Scott is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Keith and Chay Collier, his sons Chris and Kevin Collier along with their wives Michelle and Christy, his beloved grandchildren Gracie, Gavin, and Liam, as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends. His family was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
After serving his country in the Air Force during Vietnam, Scott pursued a career as a master mechanic, demonstrating his exceptional skill and dedication in all that he did. In his free time, he found solace in golfing, bowling, and building cars, always showcasing a remarkable passion for Alabama football. His community knew him for his unwavering support of his family at various sporting events, embodying the traits of giving, loyalty, faithfulness, and devotion.
Scott's accomplishments were many, from his service to his country to achieving a perfect game of bowling and even scoring a hole in one. He made his mark on the world, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and camaraderie.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 14, 2025, at 4 pm at Victory Baptist Church in Panama City, Florida. In honor of Scott's memory, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
in lieu of flowers.
Scott Collier will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, generosity, and genuine spirit touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact that will be cherished forever.
