Betty L Barber

Betty Lou Barber, 85 of Statham, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025. She was a member of Bethabara Baptist Church. Betty was a loving homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing and crocheting. She also loved to fish and travel with her husband and especially spend time with her grandchildren. She was a native of Oconee County and the daughter of the late Edward and Juanita Bryant Pursley. Betty was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Bobby Hugh Barber; a son, Mitchell Barber; and two sisters: Madge Hardigree and Susie Dove. She is survived by her sons, Eric Barber of Statham and Randy Barber of Canon; grandchildren: Stephanie, Nicholas and Sydney Barber; and her great-grandchildren: Ayden and Fynlee Barber and Sylyr and Shylyn Richardson.

A Celebration of Betty’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 18, 2025, in the fellowship hall at Bethabara Baptist Church, 4651 Monroe Hwy, Statham. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in memory of Betty to your favorite charity.
