Boone Garmon

Boone Garmon, 45 of Winder, passed away Monday, October 6, 2025. He was a native of Winder and a graduate of Winder-Barrow High School, where he played trumpet for The Bulldogg Band. Boone earned his Bachelor's Degree in Sport Management at the University of Georgia with a Minor in Psychology, where he was always a diehard Bulldog fan.

He spent his lifetime in the restaurant business serving several different roles over the years, from serving at Red Lobster in Athens and managing a Top Dawg in Summerville, SC, to serving at Longhorn Restaurant in Bethlehem for many years. Boone was an avid sports fan, music lover, and animal lover, often volunteering at the Barrow County Animal Shelter, where his family would like donations made in his memory.

Boone is survived by his mother, Judy “Pug” Turnbull (Jerry) of Winder; three aunts: Jane Blount (David) of Winder, Teeny Allison of Winder, and Amy Hagin of Winder; and his cousins: Kacy Bowman, Davy Blount, Leigh White, Lauren Beasley, and Brad Hagin. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Garmon and cousin, Marshall Hagin. A visitation will be held October 17, 2025 at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA from 4PM until 7PM.
