

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carl Dee Blevins. This is a completely unexpected loss, and our family is devastated by this passing. Carl was the son of the late Jess and Bernetta Craft Blevins. Carl passed peacefully in his sleep at the age of 74 at his home in Winder, Georgia, on Wednesday, March 16, 2022.
Carl was born in San Francisco, California and enjoyed living in the Monterey Bay area after returning from the US Navy. While in the Navy as an E5, Carl earned the Bronze Star Medal for Valor 4 times while serving his country. Carl was an avid sports fan with a lifelong love of the SF 49ers, a racing fan always cheering for Kyle Larson and Ryan Newman, and a hunting enthusiast ready for deer season. During his career, Carl worked for AT&T in Pacific Grove, California and in Pleasanton, California. He and his wife, Rhonda, retired to Winder, Georgia in 2015.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Blevins; children: William Dee (Katherine) Blevins, Robert Joseph (Kelene) Blevins, Joseph Alan (Tricia) McKinney, Victor Elliot McKinney, Phillip James (Amy) McKinney; brother: Jess Deon Blevins; ten grandchildren.
Service will be at Bethlehem Church - 316 Campus, 548 Christmas Ave, Bethlehem, Georgia 30620 on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Shane Crowe officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
