Carlton "Carl" Albert LaPorte

Carlton “Carl” Albert LaPorte age 78 of Bethlehem, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021. He was a native of Ney York City and lived most of his life in Hollywood, Florida. Carl was a veteran of The US Air Force. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Barry University and retired as a computer technician with AT&T. After retirement, Carl taught GED courses for Lanier Technical College. Carl was a devout Catholic and a faithful member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, were he supported many different charities.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton and Jeanne Morache LaPorte and a daughter, Lisa Leiter. Carl is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ella Pfaffenbach LaPorte of Bethlehem; three daughters: Tama Henriksen, Lori Thrasher and Jennifer LaPorte all of Bethlehem; three brothers: Brian LaPorte (Nicki) of St. Augustine, Peter LaPorte (Nilza) of Ft, Lauderdale and Alan LaPorte (Francine) of Ft. Lauderdale; a sister: Nannette Crane (Gene) of NC; four grandchildren: Emily Meek, Sarah Henriksen, Jessica Beck and Alyssa Henriksen; and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00AM Friday, September 24 , 2021 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church with Father Gilbert Exume’ officiating. Carl will be laid to rest at The Georgia National Cemetery at a later date.
