August 13, 1950 – November 4, 2025
Charles “Chuck” Edwin Watkins, 75, of Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia, peacefully and triumphantly joined our Lord and Savior in Heaven on November 4, 2025.
Born in Logan, West Virginia, on August 13, 1950, he was the son of the late Dr. Charles Watkins Jr. and Mildred Watkins. Chuck spent his formative years in Alexandria, Virginia, before moving to Evans, Georgia, in 1984 to begin a long and successful career with Club Car.
After more than 30 years of dedicated service, Chuck retired in 2009 as Director of After-Market Sales. Retirement brought him and his wife, Karen, to the beautiful North Georgia mountains, where they embraced a slower pace of life and built lasting friendships filled with laughter and good company.
Chuck was a man of many passions — a lifelong golf enthusiast, a skilled model train builder, a loyal Washington Redskins fan, and an all-around creative tinkerer who loved dreaming up new projects around the house. Above all, he will be remembered for his heart of gold, steady wisdom, and the humor that could light up any room.
Chuck is survived by his beloved wife, Karen; his daughter and son-in-law, Merya and Matt Turner; his son, Ryan Johnson; grandsons, Gavin Jones and Matthew Jones; and great-granddaughter, Madelyn Jones.
A Celebration of Life will be held on November 23, 2025, at The Cottage Winery in Cleveland, Georgia, following the Jesus ‘n Jeans worship service at 11:30 a.m. In keeping with Chuck’s spirit and mountain tradition, guests are invited to dress casually and comfortably.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jesus ‘n Jeans by contacting Sandra Penner at 334-328-9266.
