Christina "Christi" Walker

The Walker family announces with sorrow that Christina "Christi" Harker Walker passed away on October 28, 2026, at the age of 56. She will be remembered for a life filled with empathy and compassion for those around her and the family of which she dedicated herself. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 10th, 2026, at Smith Memory Chapel, located at 755 Atlanta HWY SE, Winder, GA 30680. Visitation will be from 12 pm to 2pm, followed by the memorial service at 2 pm in the Chapel. Pastor Russell Harbin of Northstar Family Church, Flowery Branch, will be officiating the service.

Christi was born on January 15, 1970, in Jacksonville, FL, her established home was all over metro Atlanta, specifically Gwinnett and Forsyth County Georgia. Christi was an exceptional

student and pursued her education at the University of Georgia where she was a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority. She later completed her nursing degree at Dekalb College. She went on to

build a 25-year career as a registered nurse mainly working in metro Atlanta, offering her skills and compassion to others throughout her years of service. Her work reflected a steady commitment to helping people, and her long career stands as a meaningful part of the life she lived.

Outside of her career, Christi found her greatest joy in the family she built with her husband of 29 years. Having first met in the sixth grade as friends, their paths crossed again years later, blossoming into a lifelong love and marriage. Together, they built the family she cherished above all else. Christi loved spending time at the beach or anywhere near the water. Above all, she treasured time with her children and family, whether making memories together or simply enjoying the comfort of her favorite television shows. It was the little things and the love she shared with those closest to her that made her so special and will keep her memory alive.

She is survived by her mother, Linda Harker; her husband, Derek Walker; her son, Austin Walker; her daughter, Alexis Walker; her brother-in-law, Steve Walker; her sister-in-law, Cathy Bublin; her nieces: Allison Harker McDonald and Abigail Harker Dodson; her nephews: Ryan Walker, Stephen Walker, and Nicholas Harker; her uncle-in-law, Ronnie (Cheryl) Walker; and her cousins-in-law, Jeff Walker, and Chris Walker. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Harker; her brother, Charles Scott Harker; her father-in-law, George Walker; her mother-in-law, Wilma Walker; her brother-in-law, Todd Walker. Her family and all who knew her will carry forward the memory of her kindness, her strength, and the many ways she touched their lives.
