A native of Barrow County, she was a retired nurse and a member of East Side Baptist Church. Her parents, Bert and Ida Smith Day preceded her in death.
Survivors include: her stepson, Danny Sims of Winder; many cousins; and a lot of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2011 in Smith Memory Chapel with Rev. Darrell Gilmer officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Christian Church cemetery.
