Clay Todd Kelley

Clay Todd Kelley, age 62, of Auburn, GA passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Clay was born in Atlanta and raised in Decatur where he graduated from Towers High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Clay was employed with PNC Bank. When he was a member of Winder First Baptist Church he served as a Sunday School teacher and AWANA leader. He was currently a member of Bethlehem Church where he was an AWANA leader. He had a passion for coaching and worked with little league basketball and football, boys and girls basketball at the YMCA, and Apalachee girls summer basketball. Clay represented his community as a Barrow County Commissioner from 2000 until 2004. He had also served as chairman of the Barrow County Republican Party.

Clay was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Dolvin Kelley and Carolyn Wright Kelley. His is survived by his wife, Beverly Anne Kelley; children: Preston Kelley of Hartsfield, SC, Christina Kelley of Royston, and Amy (Craig) Dixon of Flowery Branch; and three grandchildren: Logan Cain, Londyn Dixon, and Leighton Dixon.

A visitation will be held Saturday, July 5, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM and from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, GA. The funeral service will be on Sunday, July 6, 2025 at 3:00 PM in Smith Memory Chapel with his burial to follow at Barrow Memorial Gardens.
