Cumie “Cem” Elizabeth MacDonald, 62 of Monroe, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023. She was a graduate of Commerce High School and earned her associates in nursing from West Georgia College. Cem worked for many years as a registration clerk for Walton Regional Hospital. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and dog mom to her precious Roscoe.
Cem was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Johnson MacDonald. She is survived by her children: Heather Rozier (John) of Swannanoa, NC, Rebecca Kraus (Corey) of Monroe, and Samantha Sherlin of Monroe; her father, Jim MacDonald (Sandra) of Commerce; her sister, Debra Kay Hudson (Bruce) of Ft. Pierce, FL; and 6 grandchildren: Trae, Madilynn, Ava, Noah, Riley and Olivia.
The family will receive friends and family at Smith Funeral Home on Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 2PM until 4PM.
