Debra Elaine Kessler (Sparks) of Winder passed away on Wednesday, the 19th of June at the age of 60 after a two year battle with ALS. She was a devoted Christian and a member of C3 church in Lawrenceville.
Born in 1959 in Miami, FL. She is survived by her parents Carl W and Sadie Sparks of NC and the late Sara Cook of SC. She is the widow of the late Wallace Kessler of Duluth.
Debbie graduated high school in 1977 and never stopped pursuing her education with a host of certificates and degrees. She worked many years as an accountant but her passion was being a marriage counselor and thoroughly enjoyed helping others. She enjoyed good food and socializing, singing karaoke with friends and traveling. She had a wonderful laugh and smile that could light up any room.
She is survived by her three children, Derrick Sparks (Alana) and children Kyle, Kyndall and Sydni all of Winder. Phillip Shore and children Cassidy and Kristen of Columbus, GA. Leslie Shore and fiance Tyler Martin of Gainesville. She is also survived by brothers Mike Sparks and Dale Childress. Sisters Lynn Bulla, Rita Sparks, Gerri Henderson, Sara (Jody) Campbell, Jill Rene Shelnut and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers Earl Park and Terry Bryant. She also leaves behind her loving boyfriend of two years, Richard Scott of Loganville. The family will accept visitation June 22, 2019 from 12-2 pm with a service immediately following in the chapel at 2:00 p.m.
